# Market order

To place a Market order type in the chart, you have to navigate to the header and hit one of the buttons to SELL or BUY.

When you place the order, the system takes the default value which is selected in the [order sizes panel](https://wiki-en-macos.tiger.trade/features/tips-and-tricks/set-frequently-used-order-sizes).
