After logging in to the application, you’ll need to [**connect to an exchange**](/features/how-to-start/connect-to-exchanges) to start trading.

# Connect to Exchanges

For you to be able to carry out trades in the terminal, it first needs to start receiving data from the exchange. For this to happen, you need to configure the connection to the relevant exchange (you should already have registered and opened an account with the exchange).

{% hint style="info" %}
Please note that you can create two separate connections for spot and futures, but you can also create a single one on Binance in which you can put checkmarks next to both spot and futures at the same time.
{% endhint %}

To set up a connection to Binance and Bybit (Bybit exchange has been available since version 0.17.):

1. Now launch the app, click on your profile, and go to **Preferences → Exchanges**
2. In the window that opens, click the **Add new exchange** button and select **Exchange** from the list that appears.

<figure><img src="/files/TOTpmibe6Jq2eck6mxU3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3\. Specify the name of the connection in the window that opens (think of one that will be convenient and easy to find if you have a lot of connections) and enter the API key that you obtained on the Binance website.

{% hint style="info" %}
To configure your API keys for Binance [**follow the instruction**](https://www.binance.com/en-NZ/support/faq/how-to-create-api-360002502072)\

{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/ozjKq41bc8YqMhl2ChRp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Hit **Connect to Binance**. Once the connection is established, you will see the notification:

<figure><img src="/files/gnokpCy4rimENqo1Nl5x" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you need to edit a connection, click on the three toggles in the row with the connection and switch to editing mode. This mode is only available in the absence of a connection.

<div><figure><img src="/files/Pv0x203nEPtUWU8RpIWB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/rZo8NMo4PnXFiA8H5794" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

In this row, you will also see:

* **Auto connect** — when this option is activated, the system will automatically connect to the specified keys to the exchange when you launch the app.
* **Connected** — this shows your connection status, as well as whether keys are connected at the current time or not.

{% hint style="info" %}
Demo trading is available starting from version **23.2**. Enable the **Demo Account** toggle to practice trading in a simulated environment without using real funds. # Application interface

# General

When you first launch the app, you will see a window that contains the logo and the main menu, and the Chart and DOM will be selected. In the Tiger.com app, you can configure the appearance of your workspace to make it more convenient for you to work with.

<figure><img src="/files/qYAVpbEiKIJnVjEs5Zmp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### The structure and features of the workspace <a href="#h_79319a327e" id="h_79319a327e"></a>

The structure of the workspace consists of three main elements, which you can add by clicking on the “+” symbol in the **Title bar**:

* Window (command + N)
* Workspace (command + T)
* Widget&#x20;
  * Chart (control + C)
  * DOM (control + D)
  * Order Panel (control + O)
  * Watchlist (control + W)

**Windows** — You can have several windows open at once, and also position them on different monitors

**Workspace** — Just like tabs in windows. You can create an unlimited number of tabs in different windows.

You can rename a tab by double-clicking on it, and you can also put emojis in the name (using the combination **Control+Command+Spacebar** or just by copying them in the regular manner)

**Widgets** — Located within a tab. You can add an unlimited number of widgets, as long as there is space for them in the window.

When you add a new widget to a tab, it is added to the column of previously opened ones. To move a widget, drag its header to the desired location

When you select a widget, it becomes highlighted, and the system automatically updates the instrument in the trading toolbar for it.

### Types of widgets in the app <a href="#h_e2f779f1b9" id="h_e2f779f1b9"></a>

Let’s take a look in more detail at the widgets that you can use in the app and what they are useful for.

**Chart**

Here you can follow the changes in the quote at various time intervals, use graphical objects and indicators for technical analysis, and also place orders.

**DOM**

This widget contains all the necessary information for trading: the dynamic DOM, the trade feed, and clusters.

Here you can analyze supply and demand volumes, and also place orders.

**Order panel**

You can also place orders using the Order panel, where you can edit all the necessary information at once.

Watchlist

You can monitor and track the performance of selected financial instruments or assets in real time.&#x20;

{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/83mSuKHpBt8LUXcc4fro" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Here is a short description of the capabilities

* General
  * P\&L - allows you to change the default view of your profit and loss for an open position.
    * Amount
    * ROE%&#x20;
* Exchanges - add or remove your connections to certain exchanges.&#x20;
* DOM
  * Common - settings in this tab are applied to all DOM widgets
  * Symbol - settings, that are related to the certain "Trading Pair"
* Shortcuts - all possible shortcuts. Some of them can be chnaged

# Display P\&L / ROE% / PC%

By default, our application displays P\&L as the amount of quote currency when the trader opens a position. But it's possible to change it to ROE% or Price Change %.&#x20;

* Amount - To understand how it's calculated please [**read this article**](/other/faq/trading/how-p-and-l-and-roe-are-calculated).
* ROE% - To understand how it's calculated please [**read this article**](/other/faq/trading/how-p-and-l-and-roe-are-calculated).
* Price Change% - formula
  * Long % = (position price-best ask) / position price \* 100
  * Short % = (position price-best bid) / position price \* 100

<figure><img src="/files/7MCK2CpnJvZuXddzWX4I" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Disable the order confirmation popup

To avoid accidentally placing orders in our application, the application shows a confirmation popup before the order will be sent to an exchange. If you do not need that feature, you can turn it off in the preferences.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/1t5cGrwtdCdg8IyR5YbR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Historical Deals

Each executed trade is represented on the chart with markers indicating whether it was a buy (represented by a green marker) or a sell (represented by a red marker). Include information about the volume of each trade and execution Price.

<figure><img src="/files/0JWJmiHe5scsZDzvkSy0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Disconnect Notifications

A “Disconnect Notification” - it’s a notification that informs the user when their terminal has lost connection to the internet or the trading server. This notification is crucial for traders because a loss of connection can impact their ability to place orders, monitor the market, or execute trades in real time.

<figure><img src="/files/NVHpZN3b7ecz90WuCYmt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Auto Stop loss and Take profit

Automatic stop-loss in a trading terminal is a function that allows traders to automatically set a stop-loss level for their position without the need for constant market monitoring. It is an important risk management tool that helps minimize losses in the event of adverse price movements.

Automatic take-profit (Take Profit) in a trading terminal is a function that allows a trader to automatically set a price level at which a position will be automatically closed to lock in profits. This helps the trader protect their profit and avoid losses in the event of adverse market developments.

<figure><img src="/files/NuMP9epxf3mshPGWk00z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Lock Market Type

This feature helps traders streamline their experience by ensuring the terminal displays information and tools relevant only to the chosen market type.

<figure><img src="/files/Gcs2pEeQFDlbQFd0Au9i" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Currency Volumes

Using the base currency volume provides traders with consistency, simplified risk management, standardized analysis, and streamlined reporting.

<figure><img src="/files/Au2aKPodmXFHWG88OZE2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Line Height in the DOM

Adjusting line height in the DOM helps traders improve visibility, speed up decision-making, reduce errors, and create a more comfortable and efficient trading environment.

<figure><img src="/files/Mf78obAlMEawHgHyLd4Z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Trade Aggregation Time

Trade aggregation time is a tool that helps traders efficiently manage and interpret large volumes of trading data, focusing on the bigger picture rather than individual trades.

<figure><img src="/files/eNMimmUU0LCTjvPULpD8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Ping in Activity Log and DOM

Ping is a crucial factor for traders, especially those operating in fast-paced or highly competitive environments, as it directly affects order execution speed and access to real-time market data.

To open the Activity Log in a separate window, select **Activity Log** from the **View** dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the Bar Menu.

Additionally, the ping of the last action is displayed in the DOM above the trade tape.

<figure><img src="/files/rNozZl2kTd03VxlfEf36" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# DOM Auto-center spread

When enabled, **Auto-center spread** automatically keeps the spread centered in the DOM view, ensuring the current price stays visible at all times. This is useful for fast-moving markets where the price can quickly shift away from the visible area.

<figure><img src="/files/ysLcgLuHuNBg025owwWZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# DOM Information Panel Placement

**Information panel placement** controls where the trade information panel is displayed within the DOM widget. Use the dropdown to choose between **Top** or **Bottom** position depending on your preferred layout.

<figure><img src="/files/qkxl3r6mvY2Ybm6FyC6D" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Chart Auto-Hide Panels

When enabled, **Automatically hide the side panel** and **Automatically hide the top panel** keep the respective panels visible only while the cursor is inside the chart widget. Once the cursor moves outside the widget, the panels hide automatically to maximize the chart viewing area.

<figure><img src="/files/vQr5skgUDCSzn2W4vkhY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to trade

# Supported order types

The Tiger.com app lets you make market and limit orders in addition to stop loss and take profit orders, though the latter two options are just for open positions. Let’s take a deep dive into each kind of order.

We support the next list of orders:

* Market orders
* Limit orders
* Stop market orders - only futures
* Stop loss / Take profit
* Position - only futures

<figure><img src="/files/USFjSCsmEL0YtyR8az91" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Market orders

Market orders don’t have a price. They are executed at the best available price (the lowest for a buy and the highest for a sale).

Market orders are for when speed is more important than cost.

### Limit orders <a href="#h_7a0b01d3f9" id="h_7a0b01d3f9"></a>

Limit orders have a limit for the price they’ll be executed at. In other words, you set a maximum execution price when you’re submitting your order. Brokers have to buy at or below the limit and sell at or above it.

Unlike market orders, you can’t be sure they’re going to go through. That means the tradeoff is between definitely making the trade but at a price you don’t know ahead of time or being certain of the price with no guarantee you’ll make the trade.

Hedging your bets means having a plan in place for getting out of trades. When the numbers aren’t in your favor, stop loss and take profit orders are there for you.

Stop loss and take profit are the main types of deferred orders, and there are two things you should know about them:

* The position opens or closes automatically rather than manually.
* Opening or closing the trade happens after a set period of time passes.

That means the trade opens or closes without the trader’s input.

### Stop Market <a href="#h_2d720c7b13" id="h_2d720c7b13"></a>

Similarly to a stop-limit order, a stop-market order uses a stop price as a trigger. However, when the stop price is reached, it triggers a market order instead. Due to extreme market movements, the executed price of market order may be lower/higher than the last traded price that user may have seen, user needs to pay attention to the market depth and price fluctuations.

### Stop Loss and Take Profit <a href="#h_2d720c7b13" id="h_2d720c7b13"></a>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you set an **SL** and **TP** in the Tiger.com app, then they will close according to the last price. If, however, you created them in another app and specified that they should close according to the mark price, the arrow indicating the PnL may be higher than the **SL** and **TP**.
{% endhint %}

#### Stop loss <a href="#h_2d720c7b13" id="h_2d720c7b13"></a>

Stop loss (SL) orders are set for open positions to minimize risk.

To take one example, you might buy one Ethereum coin for $1000, and the maximum loss you’re willing to eat on the trade is 10%.

You need to set a stop order for $800. If the chart turns south, an order will be placed automatically to sell 1 ETH at the market price the moment it hits $800. And that will happen whether you’re logged into your exchange account or not. You’ll end up losing a maximum of 10%.

#### Take profit <a href="#h_aaab4ff5be" id="h_aaab4ff5be"></a>

Take profit (TP) orders are also set for open positions, though they’re there to lock in profit.

To take one example, you might buy one Ethereum coin for $1000, and you want to walk away with a profit margin of 20%.

You need to set a take profit order for $1400. If the chart starts climbing, you’ll automatically sell your 1 ETH at the market price the moment the quote hits $1400.

That’s especially important in volatile markets where the price might only hit your target for a short time. If you’re not in the exchange and can’t close your position right then, the price could drop back down to cut into or completely eliminate your profit.

### Position <a href="#h_fb1a5e740f" id="h_fb1a5e740f"></a>

#### Spot trading <a href="#h_fec952127a" id="h_fec952127a"></a>

If you’re trading on the spot market, your market orders are executed immediately without showing up on the chart or DOM. You can see limit orders on the chart or DOM, though they’re executed the moment the price reaches the limit order target. And that’s why positions don’t really exist on the spot market.

**Note:** Spot trading refers to transactions made in the moment with stock you already hold. Traders working on spot markets make money buying assets in the hope that the price will subsequently increase.

#### Setting a position for trading futures <a href="#h_eb6b21daab" id="h_eb6b21daab"></a>

If you’re trading on a futures market, your market order will immediately turn into a position you can see on the chart or DOM. Limit orders show up on the chart or DOM first when you have them set, turning into a position the moment the price reaches the order target. You can set stop loss or take profit orders for your positions.

**Note:** Futures contracts are agreements between a buyer and a seller looking to buy/sell a stock in the future. The parties agree in advance on when the trade will happen as well as the price.

In addition to stocks you hold, futures trading involves transactions with leverage. You don’t need to first buy futures before you can sell them. Traders can make money by purchasing stock in anticipation of the price rising or selling them in anticipation of the price falling.

The main idea behind profitable sales is buying at a lower price and selling at a higher one. As traders work toward that objective, they have at their disposal trades that play off of price decreases (short positions) and increases (long positions). Both strategies have a meaning in economics that’s probably different from what you’re used to.

**Long** positions are where stocks are bought with the idea of earning money over the long term, the trader planning to earn off a growing market. They buy the stocks, wait until the price increases, and sell to pocket the difference.

**Short** positions are designed to earn off a contracting market. The trader borrows stock from a broker and sells it at a certain price. After the price falls, the trader buys the stock and returns it to the broker.

“Long” and “short” have nothing to do with the trade durations. For example, a short position might last days or even a week, while a long position could be closed within half an hour or an hour. The terms have to do with the idea that market growth tends to be a protracted—long—process.

Traders holding a long position are called bulls in exchange slang, while short traders are bears.

# Custom indicators

# DELTA

The Delta Indicator helps traders and investors visualize the rate of change of the asset's price relative to its benchmark. The indicator can be used to identify trends, potential buy and sell signals, and to determine the strength of the trend. A positive delta means that the price is above its benchmark, indicating an upward trend, while a negative delta indicates a downward trend. The Delta Indicator is a useful tool for traders and investors to better understand market conditions and make informed trading decisions.

# Limit order

#### Create order

You have at least 3 different ways to create a limit order in DOM:

* Context menu
* Click on the price
* [Shortcut](/features/how-to-trade/alerts-hotkeys-and-other-important-stuff/how-to-set-up-shortcuts-hotkeys-in-the-application)

To create a limit order, you have to follow the next logic

| Action                          | Result     |
| ------------------------------- | ---------- |
| Right-click above current price | Sell limit |
| Left-click under current price  | Buy limit  |

The same you can do with the context menu.&#x20;

#### Modify order

To change the price, you need to drag & drop the order size.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
If you move the Sell limit order under the current price the application will execute this order as a limit by the market price. Vise versa for the Buy limit order.
{% endhint %}

#### Cancel order

Double-click on the order size or use hotkeys to cancel an order.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/bZa7fHbYwl7CvxNqRfhU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Stop Market order

#### Create order

To create a stop market order in DOM, you must use [hotkeys](/features/how-to-trade/alerts-hotkeys-and-other-important-stuff/how-to-set-up-shortcuts-hotkeys-in-the-application). You have to press and hold  **SHIFT+S** combination. This combination can be changed.&#x20;

#### Modify order

# How to open a position in DOM?

The position is allowed only for USDⓈ-M Futures. You cannot open a position on SPOT.&#x20;

A position opens automatically once you place a market order or the current price reaches the price for a limit/stop market order!&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/SerCNoHxZhkoCLzIEKyq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to set a Stop Loss / Take Profit order in DOM?

Similar to the chart, you can set your SL/TP directly in the DOM.&#x20;

Stop Loss and Take Profit is only available for an open position. if the price reaches SL/TP the system automatically closes the position and cancels SL/TP depending on what was triggered before.&#x20;

To cancel SL/TP just double-click on it.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/G5kVyR6LKZaf606KLes4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to close a position in DOM?

To close the position in the DOM you can use a mouse double-click or a specific [shortcut](/features/how-to-trade/alerts-hotkeys-and-other-important-stuff/how-to-set-up-shortcuts-hotkeys-in-the-application).&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/A8dJKMvTuG4286Kpny9v" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# DOM settings

# How to highlight the volume in DOM?

Scalpers are often trying to find specific levels to break them out. To simplify visually see the big sizes of limit orders at a certain price, we have a Volume Highlight feature. Traders can create up to 7 different conditions.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/dQJQRIK8OXyjII49TkOf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to hide trades in DOM deals tape?

By default, the application shows all market-executed trades in real-time without any filters, so that the trader can see real situations on the market.&#x20;

But sometimes a trader wants to hide unnecessary trades that do not have an impact on the price movement.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/manDeDK4GGe1tob503zl" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to hide values in DOM deals tape?

By default, the application shows all market-executed trades in real-time without any filters, so that the trader can see real situations on the market.&#x20;

But sometimes a trader wants to see only trades that have a significant impact on the price movement.&#x20;

This feature allows users to still see trades but without value.

<figure><img src="/files/hIapCqnauYhYRAcsMtgT" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to hide a context menu in DOM?

In order to hide a context menu in DOM, you have to open preferences and turn off the toggle.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/3sJHSPm5xUraiPPAOxOU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to change the volume ratio?

By default, the application is getting all data from Binance to show you as much information as it's possible. So, when you see a small ratio in the Volume column it means, somewhere in the DOM there are big sizes (a big amount of limit orders at a certain price).&#x20;

You can adjust the volume ratio by using a custom value, it will simplify reading data in the DOM!

<figure><img src="/files/SoH304YwjWoamtdeHjmL" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to change the price scale in DOM?

On some instruments, traders face the problem of a discharged DOM. The price step of the symbol is very small, and there are few applications. As a result, voids form in the glass. It is inconvenient for a trader to track the symbol since only a small part of the orders is visible.

In this case, the compression of the DOM (changing the scale of the price) will help to cope with the problem. This allows you to see the DOM in a compressed form with grouped volumes.

For example:

* If the price scale is 1, the price step is 0.01
* If the price scale is 10, the price step is 0.1

Thus, as the scale increases, the bid prices will be located closer to each other, and the empty space will be reduced. Visually evaluate the DOM so it will be much easier.

This feature is similar to what WEB interface of Binance has.&#x20;

# Indicators

# Volume Profile

The cells with the largest traded volume will have the largest horizontal length and will have the brightest color, making them the most noticeable relative to other cells. The maximum volume will be additionally highlighted with a frame, which is most noticeable in the contracted version.

# Delta Profile

This preset represents a cluster as delta values with a gradient histogram in the background.

# Delta Colored Volume Profile

In the clusters, numbers indicate the volumes of traded contracts, while the background of the cluster cell is colored by delta.&#x20;

# How to trade via the order panel?

## How does the trading toolbar work

Tiger.com offers a few different ways to place orders:

* with your mouse on the chart or DOM
* with hot keys
* in the trading toolbar

You can open the trading toolbar in the chart or DOM or by clicking the + in the **Title bar**. If you open the trading toolbar from the chart or DOM, it will show the instrument from those windows. If you open it from the **Title bar**, you’ll have to select the instrument you want to place an order for.[![](https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/586501831/4f6d4dfef475e60d2b305574/5.png)](https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/586501831/4f6d4dfef475e60d2b305574/5.png)

In the trading toolbar, you can:

* select a trading instrument
* select a trade: **BUY**,**SELL**
* select an order type: **Limit**—buy or sell at the best price, **Market**—buy or sell at the market price
* see the value: **Available** (volume in USDT with the leverage, which you can’t change here)
* see the leverage: **Leverage** (when trading futures)
* select an account: **Price**
* select an order volume: **Size** (in the trade or quote currency)
* set an order duration
* enter an order

Note that you can only place orders in the trading toolbar. If you want to modify or delete them, you’ll have to head over to the chart or DOM.

# Alerts, hotkeys, and other important stuff

# Linking widgets by color

Very often, traders set up one view of their workspace and then instantly want to change the trading pair there, so as not to waste precious time.

We provide you with such an opportunity, it will help you to see situations very quickly and trade them.

<figure><img src="/files/4F1Fp2dfd2MraDNXlCuY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Changing the leverage and margin mode

In order to trade futures, we must always understand what leverage we currently have active on this trading pair. Most applications force the user to go to the exchange and change it there.&#x20;

We have solved this problem and give the ability to change it at any time directly from the application.

<figure><img src="/files/0y8XxKMJq9XMtFyDOxdM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Price alert (notification)

Price Alerts in Tiger.com is a feature that allows users to set alerts for a specific trading pair price. The alert triggers when the price reaches a certain level. The user will receive a notification and sound alert when the alert is triggered.&#x20;

Alerts are working only, while the application is running.&#x20;

The user can create an unlimited amount of alerts in the application.&#x20;

### Alert in CHART

<figure><img src="/files/u6SSTHc5Er7S2hO2RO9T" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Alert in DOM

To set an alert in DOM the user have to use hotkeys. By default, it's (shift + A) but it can be changed. Press and hold this combination and then select the price in DOM.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/xQqiTfcGttUa4w71hjxI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# How to set up shortcuts (hotkeys) in the application?

Shortcuts are helping traders to operate faster in the application! We have split hotkeys into 3 categories

* **Workspace** - operations that are related to the application
* **Trading** - all possible trading operations
* **Chart** - standard shortcuts that are defined by TradingView

{% hint style="info" %}
To modify the shortcut, you have to click on it and press a combination or a single key.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

* If you changed your mind and do not want to change the current shortcut, just click somewhere outside the current view.&#x20;
* If you want to disable a shortcut, just remove the checkmark.
* If the checkmark is disabled it means that this is the system shortcut that cannot be changed.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
If your shortcut doesn't work, it might be used by the chart or system itself.&#x20;

**Example**: command+c will not be working, because it's used by the system.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/kX3uXlPx8IzSEEM4X3w4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# View all active orders & positions

In our application, you can see all your open positions and orders in one click. We made it possible to open a table using hotkeys, because we understand that you need speed!

You can assign a hotkey in settings => hotkeys => open/close order table.

<figure><img src="/files/t7tnNgkDxpM9mm5mNPQ8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Statistics

# Today's results

We have added an excellent statistic widget, that can help you monitor not only PnL for the current day, but also control your risks!&#x20;

The widget automatically resets statistics at 00:00 local time on the user's computer! If you opened a position yesterday and closed it today, you will see results only for the current day!&#x20;

**If single asset mode, then the $ amount represents your USDT balance on Binance.**

# Tips and Tricks

# How to see more data in DOM?

If you want to increase up to 15% data that you see on the screen, you can use this hack.&#x20;

By using the special command, you can change the height of the rows in the DOM. By default height of the row is 18. We recommend minimizing it to 14.&#x20;

1. Close Tiger.com application
2. Open terminal app
3. And paste this command and hit Enter
4. Open Tiger.com application

```swift
defaults write trade.tiger.Tiger.Trade domRowHeight -float 14; killall cfprefsd
```

<figure><img src="/files/PCNigtqSSJdUVeBgCWDS" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# I want to see notifications

When you install the application the system asks you to turn ON notifications by default! If you missed that step and did not receive any information during your trading sessions, it might be caused by settings in your system.&#x20;

1. Go to "system preferences" => notifications&#x20;
2. Choose Tiger.com
3. And allow notifications&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/sl1Bdyx6WiCw5mPR0sHT" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Price measure tool in Chart and DOM

If you want to measure a price change and predict profit/loss for your strategy, we have a great tool that will help you to achieve it.

{% hint style="info" %}
Chart: Just click on the start point and then on the end point while holding the ***Shift*** key to use the Measure Tool quickly
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/DfY18S0N0nl99y7bzypU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Set frequently used order sizes

If you often use the same amount to make trades, we have added a specific interface where you can specify up to 5 standard orders size in base or quote currency.&#x20;

The app remembers the last volume value that you entered, as well as the currency that you chose to enter them in (either the trade currency or the quote currency).

By default, volumes are set to the minimum volume for a given pair, and a step is added to that. For example, for BTC, the volume values will be: 0.0001, 0.0002, etc.

<figure><img src="/files/6ki6goOpbpaRIpm2mgJK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Turn off profit animation

In our app, when the position is closed with profit, the app shows special animation in DOM and Chart. If you want to turn OFF it, then&#x20;

1. Launch terminal appplication
2. Write `defaults write trade.tiger.Tiger.Trade shouldShowProfitAnimation -bool false; killall cfprefsd` and hit ENTER.
3. Relaunch Tiger.com application

# How to choose a trading pair

You can select a trading pair in the **Chart** or **DOM** widgets by clicking on **Choose pair**.

Before doing so, however, you must configure your [connection to the exchange](/features/how-to-start/connect-to-exchanges)

<figure><img src="/files/RNTNV66EM9KfrvVmiDck" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### How does trading pair selection work? <a href="#h_8fb07b0282" id="h_8fb07b0282"></a>

Let’s say you select an instrument, such as spot trading. A connection window will appear. If you have a connection, then, in order for it to be selected automatically and so that the window for selecting a connection doesn’t appear every time, put a checkmark next to “Automatically choose connection next time if there’s only one connection.”

If you have several connections, then when you select the spot instrument, you will see a list of the connections that support spot instruments. If you select the futures instrument, you will only see the connections that support futures.

**Note:** For your convenience, the system is configured such that the instrument is automatically updated in the trading toolbar for the widget you selected.

# How P\&L and ROE% are calculated?

### PNL must be calculated based on the formula <a href="#h_a597006081" id="h_a597006081"></a>

**Long position**

Unrealized PNL = position size \* direction of order \* ( **best bid price** - entry price)

**Short position**

Unrealized PNL = position size \* direction of order \* (**best ask price** - entry price)

### ROE% must be calculated based on the formula <a href="#h_5937989793" id="h_5937989793"></a>

**Long position**

ROE% = Unrealized PNL in USDT / entry margin = ( ( **best bid price** - entry Price ) \* direction of order \* size ) / (position\_amount \* contract\_multiplier \* mark\_price\* IMR）

**Short position**

ROE% = Unrealized PNL in USDT / entry margin = ( ( **best ask price** - entry Price ) \* direction of order \* size ) / (position\_amount \* contract\_multiplier \* mark\_price\* IMR)

In the settings, you can choose what to show by default: PNL or ROE.
